Simple and Easy Instant Pot Egg Bites

Basic Instant Pot Egg Bites

www.GrandmaBehrendt.com
This is a great recipe and you can really make these your own by adding some veggies or breakfast meat. I would recommend precooking your bacon or sausage before adding. Place bits of veggies or meat into each section on top of the cheese, then pour your egg mixture over the top. Like little baby omlettes in your pressure cooker.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese

Optional Additions

  • cooked bacon or sausage, onion, mushrooms, green peppers, chopped broccoli, diced radish

Instructions

  • Whisk eggs, cream, and salt together. Or shake them up in a smoothie shaker.
  • Spray your egg bite pan with cooking spray.
  • Add a bit of grated cheese to each section.
  • Pour eggs evenly into each section right on top of the cheese. You will need to leave a little bit of space in each section, about ¼ of an inch. Do not overfill each cup. Do not cover egg bites.
  • Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of your inner pot.
  • Put egg mold on a trivet with handles and lower into pot.
  • Manual or Pressure Cook 8 min. 8 min NPR. Let eggs cool for 10 min in the mold before flipping.
  • Flip egg bites out onto a paper towel lined plate or platter. Serve

Notes

If you want to add little bits of ham sausage or veggies, go ahead. You can reduce the recipe by 1 egg to compensate for the space. Just remember not to overfill with egg mixture.
