About Me

Welcome to my kitchen! This is where it all happens in my house. I love cooking and my time is focused on this activity and my family. Many years ago I went to chef school and trained under a bronze medal classic French Chef (Bob Menne). I learned a lot and this has taken me far with my love of cooking, creating cookbooks, and recipe development. Taking pictures of my food the step-by-step preparation is also part of what I love to do. Cooking is an art form like any other and food is the medium.

This pic was right after our remodel so things have changed a bit. This was 10 years ago and I still love my kitchen. So glad we did it and designed it ourselves to be a working kitchen and not just a show kitchen.

I don’t consider myself a blogger by today’s definition. Archiving and sharing what I love to do helps me organize my recipes and share them with others. I have been seriously cooking since I was a teen and sharing online for over 15 years. Putting my recipes on a website was a necessity, so that’s what I did. Having a place for just my recipes, photos, and other content was important. I enjoy experimenting with food and having a little fun with trendy cooking appliances or techniques as well as traditional cooking methods.

Creating recipes my family and friends love comes naturally. There are a lot of food sites out there right now and I tend to gravitate toward those that present a real-life persona and photos that are their own. When I can tell that someone is presenting real content instead of purchasing content and photos, they are much more appealing to follow.

This is how I store the appliances I am currently using. I like to keep things accessible or I don’t use them. I find it more inspiring to cook this way. My kitchen is where I love to be.

This site is a work in progress so things will keep changing as it evolves. If you have any suggestions or find any flaws or typos, please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear your feedback.
