Benihana Shrimp Sauce - Asian Yum Yum Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 cups mayo miracle whip will not work for this
- ½ cup water
- 1 Tbsp ketchup
- 2 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 1 tsp Tabasco
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp white pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
- Measure all ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Whisk togther a pour into a squeeze bottle if you wish. This may seem like a lot of sauce, but trust me, you will find out that you use it a lot! My familyhgoes nuts for this stuff on their egg rolls.
- Sauce is best if it sits overnight.

I have tried to cut corners and save time by buying this sauce in the bottle. It’s just not the same. Even my kids can tell the difference and if you can’t fool them… Right? So, I went right back to making it myself. We use this on fried rice, egg rolls, sushi, stir-fried zucchini, cold shrimp, hot shrimp…. Who are we kidding? This stuff is great on everything!
