Knorr Parma Rosa Instant Pot Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz dry pasta by weight 12 oz box measured in half
  • cups water
  • ¼ tsp salt optional
  • 1 pkg Knorr Parma Rosa sauce mix
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk with a pat of butter

Instructions
 

  • First measure your pasta. If you can, measure your pasta by weight. If you do not have a scale, you can visually measure using a full box of pasta and large measuring cup. If you have a 12 oz box, visually measure out 1/2 the noodles. If you have a 16 oz (1 lb) box of pasta, you can try measuring into thirds (1/3 box).
  • Pasta shapes will vary greatly in volume. So, you cannot measure shapes by cups and get and accurate measurement. There is not a single formula to measure all the shapes and sizes. Just do the best you can.
  • Put dry pasta, water, and salt in pot and cook for 1/2 the time on the pasta package. I did bow tie for 6 min and QR. After QR, open pot and stir noodles making sure they are separated.
  • There will still be a small amount of liquid in the pot from the water. Leave it. It will help thicken your sauce. Press Cancel to reset your pot.
  • Now press Saute. Sprinkle in sauce packet and cream in the pot and stir to mix everything up well. Just like when you stir ingredients into your box of mac-n-cheese. While your pot is on Saute make sure you keep stirring until sauce thickens. This will be about 1-2 minutes. Serve.
