Corn on the Cob - Instant Pot
Minnesota sweet corn is a summer favorite. The kernels are nice and small and so sweet and tasty. Add some butter and a bit of salt and it's pure heaven.
Equipment
Ingredients
- 6-8 ears sweet corn on the cob shucked
- 1-2 cups water 6 Qt or 8 Qt *see recipe
- 1 trivet use the steam rack or trivet that came with pot
For Serving:
- butter
- salt
- pepper
- chili powder
Instructions
- Place trivet in your inner stainless steel pot.
- Place shucked and cleaned ears on corn on top of the trivet. You can do as many ears that will fit in the pot. So, if you have room for more, go ahead and cook them as well.
- Pour 1 cup of water into your 6 Qt pot. If you have an 8 Qt pot you will need about 2 cups of water.
- Set to Pressure Cook or Manual for 2 min HP and QR for crisp sweet corn. If you like your corn more mushy, set the time for 4 min.
- Use the Keep Warm setting to help keep your corn warm while serving your meal.
- Serve with butter or your favorite toppings.
Notes
Tips: Not all corn is considered sweet corn. If you have corn on the cob with large yellow kernels, then you probably don't have sweet corn. It's still good, you may just need to cook it longer as the kernels aren't as tender.
